General Aftercare And Homecare

Please follow these guidelines after your treatment until your next visit. This will maximise and prolong the benefits of your treatment. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me.

General Aftercare

For up to 2-4 hours after treatment

No heavy exercise, allow body to rest for a while.

Watch your fluid intake to assist in elimination of toxins, otherwise you may experience headaches and/or body aches and pains.

In case of an Aromatherapy massage, do not bathe/shower 4-6hrs after treatment to allow for oils to absorb into the skin.

Avoid heavy meals or stimulants of any kind-i.e. Alcohol. Give your body a chance to focus on natural healing and detoxifying itself.

Listen to your body, if you feel tired, rest/take a nap.

Homecare In-between Treatments

Check fluid intake.

Take regular exercise of some kind to suit you. Gentle/brisk walking for 20-30 minutes a day while breathing fully and deeply is a great way to keep fit and clear the mind.

Avoid excessive intake of alcohol.

Eat healthy-use seasonal fresh produce if available.

Avoid excess sugar.

Practice Mindfulness for your mental health and wellbeing.

If you were given a blend of oils after an Aromatherapy massage to use at home, use it as advised by your therapist until your next visit.

Weather permitting, walk barefoot to help ground yourself in nature.

Examples of Mindfulness

  • Focus on your breathing when you feel overwhelmed/anxious.
  • Bring your awareness to the present moment. Sometimes it’s hard to slow down and notice the world around you in this busy world.
  • Accept yourself as you are and treat yourself with unconditional love.
  • Meditation is great to calm the mind. YouTube has some great meditations. My personal favourite is anything by *John Moyer*.
  • Listen to music to help you relax.

Skinician are a compact range of multifunctional products that deliver real and visible results for all skin types.

“Breathing in, I calm body and mind. Breathing out I smile. Dwelling in the present moment I know this is the only moment”
